Saskatoon is a Small and Diverse City with the largest population in the Province of Saskatchewan situated in Central Canada also known as The Prairies.
We have approximately 8000 – 10000 Muslims staying in the City of the Saskatoon. We have 3 Masjids and 2 Musallahs and in the process of building a 4th New Masjid. We also have an Islamic School known as Saskatoon Misbah School in Saskatoon, which currently runs its school at The Islamic Association of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon). It is operated by its own management but works collaboratively. We have Sunday Islamic Arabic Weekend School as well as Maktab Quran Classes.

South Saskatchewan River splits the City of Saskatoon into the East and Westside. For housing, our recommendation is to stay on the East Side of Saskatoon or North West of the City. Visit www.kijiji.ca to find accommodation.
With a growing Muslim population, one can now find multiple Halal Take Out and Dine In Restaurants (Spicy Bite, Spicy Time, Swadesh Restaurant, H67 Donair & Pizza, Aalif Restaurant, Lebanese Kitchen, Kebab King, Olympia Restaurant) and Supermarket/Butcheries (Brothers Halal Meat, Swadesh, Deshi Supermarket, Green Supermarket, Petra Market and Jerusalem Butcher Shop) across the City.
The weather in Saskatoon is colder than other major cities in Canada, ranging from -6 to -25 degrees. We do get really cold spells where the temperature can go below -30 degrees and some warm spells where it can go above 0 degrees. Everyone looks forward to the summer where temperature ranges from 18 degrees to 30 degrees. We have plenty of small lakes and parks outside of the city to enjoy the outdoors along with the South Saskatchewan River running through the city.
We are home to the University of Saskatchewan and Saskatchewan Polytechnic College.
One may find employment, depending on education and experience but it is less competitive than other cities.
